| if something screws you over once. do you refuse to try it again? | | i have heard this from several people that they tried a mystery shopping place or a ptc or etc to make money just for it to be a scam and even though you know of a different site that you can show proof and has been ok'd by other places they will not have anything to do with those anymore?this can be really applied to anything.. i mean not just ptc and etc (since heck even i was staying away from them for awhile because of being scammed) but like lets say there is a great restaurant and they decide to try it and they go on a really busy day and the service wasnt great and even though you had been there a million times and had good service they wont change their minds and think that its always bad like they experienced.. or a movie with a certain star sucked so they wont see anymore with that one person in it.. a club.. etcdont get me wrong im not one to like push people into trying things i want them to but i hate for people to miss out on things because of 1 problem they had with a similar company.. (like the mystery shopping) because i know that the companies i have used paid.. i can understand being way cautious but if you know some one that has had a different... | |
| | My old TV screws up all the Time! | | I have this old TV in my room and it messes up all the time! Sometimes the buttons quit working on it and I have to hit it several times to get it working again. Also sometimes the sound all of a sudden goes all the way up and it will not go back down unless you hit the TV. It pisses me off so much sometimes! I wish I could afford a big HDTV.. | | When Family Screws You Over | | My brother is an idiot, he is 36 years old, the oldest of 5 (I'm 28, the baby) and he still doesn't have his s&!T together. He has 5 kids from 3 different women two of which he has to pay child support to. He had called me and told me that he is behind on his oldest sons child support by $1,700 dollars and that his ex was going to have him thrown in jail and that he really needed my help. I talked it over with my husband and we decided to help him, so we sent him the money to pay the child support. Two weeks later we find out that he has moved to New Mexico (from Arizona) and was evading the law, he now has a warrant, he never paid the court!!! What a loser, I swear to God, I am so completely pissed that he has done this to his son, to me, to everyone. He will never see his son, or his daughter who also lives in Arizona, he moved to New Mexico with his new wife and the other 3 smaller kids. I can't believe that he could abandon his kids like that when he HAD THE MONEY TO PAY. | |
| | Do I Have Some Screws Loose? | | I've mentioned before about my "Question of the Day" that I do at work. About a month or so ago the question was, "If you were in Caseys General Store and you seen a single rose for sale and for some odd reason you thought of me when you seen it, would you buy it for me?" Now I got a whole lot of good responses which I'm planning on turning into an article but I haven't had time to work on it yet. Well, today, we have what we call "Jackpot" that we play every Thursday and Friday. Everyone puts in a dollar and their name gets put in the pot one time for every dollar they put in. The last person who won gets to pull the name of the next winner. Well, today, I was the winner. One of the men who I asked my question of the day to about the rose said this to me after I won, "Now you can buy the rose and give it to me". I said, "I still want you to buy me one". He replied, "Sometimes you have to give in order to receive". After him saying this, I had an idea to give all the men that I asked that question a single rose and attached to the rose the quote they gave me from the day that I asked them the question. | | Union Screws Over Workers... Again... | | Here in Sheboygan an international corporation has a plant that employs 400+ people. The company also has a plant in Louisiana.The corporation decided to streamline operations, moving everything to one plant. I don't know what's going on in Lousiana, but I'm betting they are going to come out on top here.The company contacted the union local to get together by conference call to discuss reasons to move the whole operation to Sheboygan. First the shop union rep informed the company reps that she couldn't meet with them at the time they scheduled the call, and asked if they could reschedule it... naming the time that would be better for her. The company agreed, and informed all the other parties of the change.When the time set came, the shop steward just decided not to participate.The State of Wisconsin and the City of Sheboygan are both offering incentive packages to the company to woo them over to Sheboygan. | | Internet Browsing screws up the computer; virtually! | | It is one problem that i have always had with my computer since the last 10 years. And now i have got so bugged up with this problem that i have separate PCs for working and internet browsing.The problem that i have faced while internet browsing is, that no matter how good a virus protection software you might be having on your computer, these invisible code worms just seem to creep in somehow. And they have so many kinds; gosh, trojans, trojan horses, spywares, viruses, bla-bla-bla.And once these crawly creeps sneak into your system, they slowly it down to almost a pedestrian's pace really. Despite of the fact that you might be having dual core or a quadra core; the system's performance is reduced down to almost a 286.And especially for these anti-virus programs, i have a feeling that they have their own agents who design these creepy worms for them, so that their Anti-virus software could find harrowed users on the Internet.Although the technology in computers has really come of age; i still feel that safe internet browsing is one area which has not been thoroughly addresses till now. | |

| | Victoria still putting the screws to Brad, But 6-7-07 | | Victoria is still trying to get Brad to sell the Clearwater property to NVP, but Brad may get out of it. Can't the writers let Victoria win against Brad at least once. Everyone wants Victoria to be stronger including Amelia Heinle the actress playing her. It was hard enough for Amelia to come in as a replacement for Heather Tom who played the part for so long without the writers doing this to her. It is really a huge disservice to an excellent actress.
