Gas powered or prpane wich is more eficient?
wich of these do you think is the most effective on saving money every month? I really dont know which one would be better in the way of conserving energy. and is there proof that this is more efficient in the money saving catagory. what is your opinion o this matter?
Push Reel Mowers vs. Gas-Powered Lawnmowers
If you had a manageable amount of land, would you switch to a push-reel mower to help decrease pollution? Gas-powered lawnmowers are noisy and not good for the environment. We had a push-reel mower when I was growing up that was a bit difficult to use - or perhaps it was because I was still a kid and didn't have enough strength to push it. The models of today are much more streamlined and easy to use. There's more information about it on my blog at http://livegreen.blog.com
What is the best type/ or brand of weed eater I can buy on a budget?
What is the best type/ or brand of weed eater I can buy on a budget? I am looking for something economical, that won't break on me after a few uses. Gas or electric? Brand? Where did you purchase yours?
Airsoft discussion
OK, i have talked to a lot of people in my time that don't know what Airsoft is, so, I'm going to explain it for people who might not know. And besides, airsoft isn't listed for interests so ya... anyway, for a person just starting out, it can be EXPENSIVE. my gear i have already has cost me well over $800. And i still am not done getting gear. Plus, the airsoft BB's, which, even though they run about $8 - $15 for a bag or bottle, its still money consuming. And if you have a Gas Powered gun, gas runs between $10 and $15 a can, though you can get an adapter to use propane as an alternate gas, i prefer Green Gas, which is what most gas guns take. Then you have the Springers, which are neither semi nor fully automatic. You have to pull the slide, or bolt, or whatever the gun has.It is sort of like Paintball, except instead of Paint balls you use little 6MM BB's. The guns all have real steel counterparts, like, MP5's, M4's, M9's, 1911's, most real guns have an airsoft counterpart, though i have seen a select few that don't. Airsoft games come in many forms, too. Capture the flag, Last Team Standing, Last Man Standing, hostage rescue, others like...
Do you think the world is Overpopulated?
I've always thought that the world was Not meant for human "domination." It seems we are taking over the world, and building where we like, despite the plants and animals that were already there. Do you ever feel guilty, and feel like people should live more naturally[like w/o electricity and gas powered things]?
What happened to bicycles?
Every time I look outside I don't see kids on bicycles any more. All I see them riding now are the gas powered scooters that are really loud. I was just wondering are bicycles out of style and are those little scooters the new thing?
Power Mower?
Do you have a gas powered lawn mower?
Save BILLIONS on your energy bill this month!
The federal government has been slapping "energy-efficient" ratings on products that don't even exist -- including a bogus space heater with a duster stuck to it and an alarm clock supposedly powered by gasoline. These fake products were submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy for approval as part of an undercover investigation by the Government Accountability Office. The office wanted to see how easily the feds could be duped, since the Energy Star program used to identify products as energy savers serves as a guide to businesses looking for such modern marvels and the basis for millions of dollars in incentivizing tax credits -- including $300 million from the stimulus. The products fooled the federal government three out of four times. Of the 20 products submitted for approval, 15 were given the thumbs up. GAO reported that the federal government generally did not ask for critical evidence to back up its claims about how energy-efficient -- or real -- its bogus products were. "Certification controls were ineffective primarily because Energy Star does not verify energy-savings data reported by manufacturers," the report...
How often do you cut your grass?
I usually cut more at the beginning of the season but then after the pool and badminton set and all the other stuff that comes out for summer I do it less and less cause I have so many obstacles in my way. I used to use a push mower that didn't need gas but my yards are far too big and full of bumps and hills that made a push mow impossible so I use a gas powered mower. How often do you cut your grass and what do you use to cut it?
No cars!! What will you do??
Say tomorrow there were no more gas powered cars. Gas prices went up so high that no one could afford cars anymore. Anything using gas went out the door. How will you get around?? Electric car?? Bike??.scooter, or just plain walk? I would probably try to buy me a bike and ride it. I think its a great way to get around and it saves the environment/?
